Dr Christos Keleshis, a key founder of the Unmanned Systems Research Laboratory (USRL) at CARE-C of the Cyprus Institute, he leads its technological activities for the last 13 years, currently as a R&D Scientist and Head of Operations. He is responsible for supervising the developments of the Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS) and coordinating their operations. Since 2009, he has acquired extensive experience in various types and sizes of UAS and their related technology, such as autopilots, data acquisition, telecommunication systems, atmospheric sensors, imagers and other sensors. He is leading all the USRL forest surveillance operations and its relevant technological developments, contributing to fire forest protection in Cyprus.
